On a Roll: Cinnabon Comes to Karachi

It was as if indulgence was all everyone had on their minds at the launch of the famous American franchise, Cinnabon, in Karachi, at the newly built Dolmen Mall in Seaview, Clifton.
The event took place in the vast, open area of the mall, where massive screens displayed videos of the extremely famous cinnamon rolls being baked.
The occasion included a short and amusing dance performance by their mascot, a life-size cinnabon, who played with the children present, as they eagerly waited to try what the franchise had to offer. The models who joined the mascot on stage had their hair styled in twisted buns that bore a curious resemblance to the cinnamon-laden buns themselves. Though a tad quirky this added an amusing touch.
Throughout the evening, the management served mini, freshly-baked cinnabons — hors d’oeuvres style. The warm, moist and immensely delectable mini cinnamon rolls were the perfect way to whet one’s appetite, and encourage guests to buy boxes of four or nine cinnabons, available from the store located on the first floor of the mall.
The store will be selling a wide range of its signature items which include chillatas, chocalattas and, of course, the ever-so-appealing cinnamon roll with its legendary Makara Cinnamon and classic cream cheese frosting.
