Unilever Pakistan pulled out all the stops for the launch of the all-new Magnum ice cream range. The black-tie affair was held at the DHA Golf Club’s Convention Centre last month and everyone who is anyone was present on the occasion. Slackistan starlet Aisha Linnea Akhtar and video producer Adnan Malik were the hosts of the evening. Belarussian girls had been flown over and each of them, dressed in floor-length gowns, greeted guests as they walked by. But that was just the beginning — as Magnum had a whole string of surprises prepared for the night.

Magnum Brand Council, Tapu Javeri, Deepak Perwani, Nabila and brand ambassadors Ayyan and Aisha Linnea Akhtar, arrived at the event in a vintage Rolls Royce decked out in their finest.

The night also included a musical performance, during dinner, titled A Royal Remedy directed and choreographed by Nida Butt of Karachi: The Musical fame. The piece was written specially for the launch by none other than Uns Mufti and starred Sanam Saeed, Rubya Chaudhry, Faraz Lodhi and Momin Zafar. However, judging by the audience’s response, the performance was somewhat underwhelming.

The evening also had rich, decadent desserts on offer, which included delicious chocolate shots. That was sin at its sweetest. The new line of Magnum flavours are now available in stores across Pakistan.
