In June, couturier Rizwan Beyg showed off three fabulous collections at the residence of the Pakistani ambassador in Rome, in a fundraiser for the IDPs from Swat. Each of these collections had earlier been shown to tremendous applause at recent fashion weeks in Colombo, Sarajevo and Karachi.
The black-and-white collection showcased Beyg’s signature layered skirts. Jackets with ruffles complemented the elaborate skirts, which flaunted an exuberant flounce, in outfits that were reminiscent of a day at Ascot. The vintage contrast of black and white came together in alluring evening wear; the gowns displayed neat silhouettes with form-fitting bodices and graceful empire lines.
