In this day and age of bad eating habits, and with the rising cost of medical bills, a comprehensive health insurance package seems like a most obvious investment. AsiaCare, a health and life insurance company, was officially launched on May 21 with a press conference followed by a question-and-answer session.

Being the first company in Pakistan that offers products and insurance packages specifically designed with the Pakistani family in mind, it also offers individual plans as compared to just the corporate ones previously being offered in the country. Plans, depending on the premium, also include psychiatric and routine dental coverage.

“Our panel includes well-known doctors and reputable hospitals in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. We also focus on preventive coverage, an extensive outpatient service that is the first of its kind in the country and parental coverage with the highest age limit,” said Dr Mehdi Kazmi, managing director and CEO of the company.

The ultimate goal of the company is to extend its network all over Pakistan and it is currently working with various private and government institutions, in order to make health insurance accessible to all.
