The first Karachi Biennale draws to a close this Sunday. It was surely the most widespread, inclusive and vibrant art activity ever held in this city. Karachiites got to rediscover some forgotten architectural gems in the city as well as feast on art like never before. One wishes, however, that it had been better publicized and that even greater numbers of people had visited the various Biennale venues.

Kudos to the Biennale team and perhaps this lapse will be addressed in future years. For those who missed out, here is a glimpse of what the Biennale brought to Karachi.
