The much awaited Karan Johar production Kapoor and Sons is currently playing in cinemas across India and Pakistan and has been getting enthusiastic reviews all around.

Amidst  a stellar cast boasting the likes of Rishi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, our Pakistani favourite, Fawad Khan has managed not just to hold his ground but according to more than one reviewer,  steal the show. Indian film critics have been generous in their praise of Fawad who plays the elder of two estranged brothers, a successful writer living in London as opposed to the shiftless younger brother played by Sidharth. Alia Bhatt, who has proved her mettle in several films, provides the love interest here.

With this nuanced performance, Fawad Khan has now firmly established that he is much more than a pretty face. We in Pakistan already knew this but now so does a wider audience. He was the epitome of the romantic hero in the otherwise vapid Khoobsurat but has shown what he can do in a more challenging milieu.
