The nation mourns today over the crash of PIA’s Pk-661 enroute from Chitral to Islamabad. Each of the 47 lives lost were exceedingly precious and irreplaceable from singer-turned-preacher Junaid Jamshed to the pilots and cabin crew manning the ill-fated aircraft and the many passengers which included two infants.

Flying in Pakistan’s northern areas is a challenging yet exhilarating, almost sublime, experience as evidenced by the videos regularly posted by Captain Salehyar Janjua, who was the pilot in command of PK-661.
