After the widespread success of its other outlet at Park Towers, retail giant ChenOne launched its complete home store, amidst much media fanfare at the Ocean Mall on June 14. The inauguration managed to draw huge crowds of people even on a sultry evening in Karachi.

The new outlet offers a vast assortment of chic home furnishings, including bedroom sets, classy dining tables, items of interior decoration, trendy kitchen and bathroom accessories, bed linen and a formal to casual apparel range. The walls of the glitzy store were stacked with pots, frames, sofa cushions, mirrors and ChenOne’s signature bed linen. In fact, there was everything that could turn any house into a complete home.

The red ribbon was cut (albeit an hour later than the scheduled time) by Sindh’s Culture and Tourism Minister, Sharmila Faruqi. The event was handled by Take II and attended by TV actor and director, Zeba Bakhtiar, makeup artist Angie Marshall and model/actor Mehwish Hayat among many other prominent socialites and media personnel.

The highlight of the evening was the theatrical performance by models Tatmain in a bathrobe, Saima Azhar in an off-shoulder top paired with track pants, Sadaf Kanwal in a tracksuit and Sana Sarfaraz in formal party wear from the store’s clothing line. This rather dramatic act concluded with a catwalk on a makeshift ramp in the store.

The collection at ChenOne Home targets all those who are looking for sophistication in both apparel and home furnishings under one roof. All in all, a welcome addition to the city’s shopping scene.
