Israeli PR Machine Still Hard at Work After Mavi Marmara Incident
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) under the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit has released their version of May’s flotilla raid in the form of a video timeline. In can be seen in two parts on YouTube. Both videos for Part 1 and Part 2 are embedded here.
The videos contain recreated scenarios using computer animation in addition to actual footage recorded during the raid. Some of the footage is hazy but understandable, other footage from various IDF vantage points is remarkably clear for night filming. The videos are shown with English subtitles. And both show dramatic action.
However, there seems to be more. There seems to be other live-action scenes in colour filmed from angles on-board the Mavi Marmara. Are these from the video cameras of journalists on-board the aid vessel or are they recreated scenes using actors and props? Or is it footage from Israeli military training videos?
See it for yourself and decide.
