This video from CNN has some important comments in it from the UN’s special envoy to Pakistan, Jean-Maurice Ripert. Look out for his appearance at about the 1:10 mark in this video. He says that humanitarian assistance for Pakistan due to the floods will be needed for several months until spring (at least six more months) while in Sindh, special help is needed because the floodwaters remain and will remain for 4-5 weeks.
