The premiere of Farjad Nabi and Meenu Gaur’s eagerly awaited Jeevan Haathi was recently held in Karachi. The Red Carpet event for this movie was a star-studded affair, attended by well-known faces from the world of fashion and entertainment.

The cast of Jeewan Hathi looked suitably glamorous yet relaxed. Kiran Tabeer looked svelte, draped in a black, embroidered sari while Hina Dilpazeer cut an elegant figure also in black.  Samiya Mumtaz was her understated and simple yet charming self. As for the male cast, Fawad Khan, Adnan Jaffer  and Saife Hasan were all very dapper.

The film, which is a black comedy about the mercurial and often deceptive world of Pakistani television, follows the life of an ideal, loving, middle class couple whose relationship is tested tot he limit after they decide to enter a TV game show.

Zinda Bhaag was a groundbreaking venture for Pakistani cinema and expectations are high from this talented team. Jeewan Hathi promises laughter as well as food for thought.
