A bevy of luscious hues and floral prints take centre stage in Deepak Perwani’s current seasonal collection, now available at his outlet in Park Towers. It is apparent through his use of ethnic colours, fine threadwork and semi-precious stones, that his designs have largely been inspired by traditional Pakistani attire. But at the same time, his creations remain timeless and the outfits express modern elegance. Bright colours capture the contemporary bloom of summer, and Perwani’s use of luxurious patterned cotton puts forward a soft feminine touch. He opts for bold cuts this season, leaving behind the blasé shirts that dominated the fashion scene in prior years. Balloon frocks are all the rage, and be it bold or subtle, fancy or frilly, his shop has it all.
