Laiqa Hasan held a grand relaunch of her salon and spa on a crisp winter evening on January 26. Located in Clifton, the event hosted the who’s who of the fashion and glamour scene. The well-heeled of Karachi, media personalities and journalists mingled as waiters served snacks and drinks. Some familiar faces included the actor Shakeel, Iraj Manzoor, Tapu Javeri, Sultana Siddiqui and Asad Tareen. The event was organised by Createch Productions & Events and hosted by the lively and likable Anoushey Ashraf.

Laiqa Hasan and her team at the new-look salon promise the same luxurious services as before which includes bridal makeup, haircut and colour, OPI manicures and pedicures, Guinot facials, Thai and hot stone massages, aromatherapy and more. Laiqa is a heavyweight in the world of makeup, with two decades of work experience and an impressive portfolio that includes some of the most well-known faces of the subcontinent. She wants to concentrate more on brides now: “I think what every bride wants is to look as beautiful and elegant as she can for her wedding. My philosophy is to enhance her beauty without overdoing it. Brides are always incomplete without makeup.”

A montage of Laiqa’s work was shown with well-wishers and the industry’s top names offering generous words of support for Laiqa as a person and as a professional. Finally, a small fashion show displaying four different bridal looks on upcoming models Sana Khan, Sadaf Hamid, Sehrish Bukhari and Zeeba Ali took place with exquisite outfits provided by Zainab Chuthani, and jewellery by Anam Yazdani.
