For the third time in a row, Sana Safinaz’s seasonal collection proved to be a complete sell-out in a matter of only a few hours.
On May 7, The House of Ensemble held a preview of the designers’ spring/summer 2010 prêt collection at Ensemble’s brand new flagship boutique in Karachi. Incidentally, the boutique has remained the exclusive retailer for Sana Safinaz in Pakistan.
Also seen at the preview were designers Maheen Khan, Umar Sayeed and Sadaf Malaterre, CEO L’Oreal Pakistan Musharaf Hai, brands and external communications manager Unilever Pakistan Fareshteh Aslam, co-owner of Koel Sara Bilgrami Farooqui, socialites Ronak Lakhani, Saeeda Leghari and Mehnaz Adamjee, among many others.
The spring/summer 2010 ready-to-wear collection remains true to Sana Safinaz’s fashion philosophy of fusing tradition with more contemporary ethos. The outfits, in vibrant colours, combined different textures, including pure silks, chiffons, georgettes, crepe, organza and tulle, and used embroidery selectively to add hints of subtle opulence.
Sana and Safinaz are ecstatic about the response to their spring/summer 2010 collection at Ensemble: “This was the third collection that was previewed at Ensemble and the response was, as always, amazing. We have been working with Ensemble for the past two years and our experience has been nothing short of wonderful, given its professionalism and business acumen.”
