Almost everyone knows someone with cancer. Two people who have been up close and personal with cancer give their personal accounts: one of them has fought it and made it to the ranks of a cancer survivor, and the other has lived with family members who have had it, and she runs the risk of developing it.
As we mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, you can read their two stories and learn more about breast cancer, a disease that will affect an additional 1.5 million people around the world in 2010.
