The Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival (MISAFF) will be  screening two short films made under the Zeal For Unity Banner.  This is a collaborative project by Zee Cinemas which will be showcasing the works of Pakistani and Indian directors in various festivals.

On August 6 Lala Begum,  by acclaimed Pakistani director Mehreen Jabbar, will be screened at the film festival in Mississauga, Canada.  India will be represented by writer/director Keban Mehta with an adaptation of the classic Manto short story,  Toba Tek Singh.  All screenings will be followed by question and answer sessions with the filmmakers and actors.

Lala Begum from Pakistan tells the story of two sisters, whose relationship can be seen as a metaphor for the terse situation between India and Pakistan. Starring Marina Khan and Sonia Rehman, one hopes that audiences in Pakistan  will also be able to view the film at some stage.
