Crash Course in Culture
An engineer by training, Ally Adnan’s true love has always been the arts. As such, he has been an avid collector of antiquities and music. In fact, he recently donated a portion of his music collection to the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan, where the archive is named after him.
Ally’s area of expertise is Qawwali and Sufism and he researched both subjects extensively. At a series of recent workshops conducted by him in Karachi, he shared his knowledge with the public. Hopefully, such cultural initiations will cultivate a larger and more appreciative audience for the arts in Karachi.
