International General Insurance (IGI) Financial Services launched their 2009 calendar at an event hosted at the IGI Head Office at the Forum in Karachi on December 24.

The event was inaugurated by Raeda Latif, head of marketing for IGI Financial Services, and was followed by an address by Riffat Alvi, a prominent artist and art director of VM Art Gallery. The CEO of IGI Investment Bank, Samir Ahmed, also spoke on the occasion. He emphasised the importance of promoting the wealth of national talent that Pakistan possesses. “There is unmatchable talent present in Pakistan and we always strive to bring it to the attention of the wider public,” said Ahmed.

The IGI calendar features the works of both established and contemporary artists for each month of the year. As Raeda Latif said in her speech: “This is the fourth consecutive year that the IGI calendar has been used as an exhibit for the work of some of the most creative minds born to this country.” Indeed, the IGI calendar has become a symbol of attainment for creative individuals. And it’s a beautiful way for the rest of us to keep track of our year.
